Beall's Hill Neighborhood Redevelopment,
Macon, GA
HFA was a key team member in organizing and staffing a five-day charrette sponsored
by the Knight Program in Community Building to plan the revitalization of the
historic Beall’s Hill neighborhood in Macon, Georgia.
HFA was primarily responsible for stakeholder outreach, facilitation, and
documentation. HFA conducted individual interviews and pre-charrette roundtables
with pastors, community organizations, and neighborhood residents in the successful
effort to organize project stakeholders. HFA prepared meeting agendas and facilitator
notes for each of the 11 stakeholder meetings held during the charrette, and also
facilitated several of these stakeholder meetings. HFA edited the notes from the
stakeholder meetings for inclusion in the final plan. HFA also wrote a short article
about public involvement during the charrette for the Beall’s Hill Post-Charrette
Town Paper.
