I-95 Ramp Completion Project,
Philadelphia, PA
Completed the mitigation design, urban design, and landscape design aspects of a $50 million project to provide improved access from Interstate 95 to the developing Philadelphia Center City Delaware riverfront. This projected involved the designing of mitigation features, such as sound barriers and landscaping in the vicinity of proposed ramps. Other designs included a landscaped pedestrian bridge over the recessed section of Interstate 95 in order to link the historic areas of Society Hill to the Penn's Landing waterfront development. Also created the right-of-way landscaping and other improvements to address the adverse environmental conditions under and adjacent to the Interstate 95 elevated structure in South Philadelphia. The project required extensive interaction with adjacent communities and waterfront developers.
